Arrest, Search, Seizure, Warrant lawful grounds for arrest??

a detective recieved and anonymous tip that a volunteer was dealing drugs to students at a highschool. the detective went to observe and found nothing, BUT ran a background check which resulted in four narcotics convictions in four years. Can he arrest him the next time he observes him at school?

I guess it would depend on the state/county... school? laws, prohibiting a felon from working within the school.

Since he's volunteer, I'm sure if the school was notified ..... anonymously, that he's had 4 priors for drugs, they would indeed let him know his services aren't needed any further.



What exactly does he volunteer for? I can't remember seeing any cool guys just hangin' out at school volunteering...
