was cold called in 2009 and agreed to have a satellite system installed and paid the deposit due.

Surprislngly, the sysytem was never installed and the deposit not returned, (it was returned once but the cheque bounced!!!!)

The 'gentlemen' I dealt with, Mr S and Mr O implied they were the company directors/ owners and did not mention they were working for or consulting for the firm. They are now saying they sold the firm in 2008, and were consultants.

I have pursued the case thro the small claim court, I have no legal represention as the legal profession seem to think that the £1000 claim is too small to justify their hourly fee.

I have been advised to consider the 'law of agency' and pursue the firm whom I cannot now 'find', although I feel the 2 gentlemen deceived me and did not disclose the 'agency' therefore both the agent (the gentlemen) and the principle (the firm) should be liable, as I cannot locate the firm ..........

    Any advice would be welcome.

    many thanks
