landlord trying to tow my vehicle

my landlord wants to tow my vehicles because the tags are not up to date but I Drive the cars often, I just moved from Missouri two months ago and won't be able to afford it for another 2 weeks is it legal for them to tow my car when I am paying rent and living on the property

Yes, a landlord can tow unlicensed or improperly licensed vehicles off of his or her property.
