I am 17 years old I date a guy who is 25 years old can he go to jail for this? or am I considered as an adult in the law?

The answer to both questions is no.
The age of consent in Louisiana is 17, which means he will not go to jail because of sexual contact with you. However, you are NOT an "adult in the law"...you are still a minor and under the care and control of your parents. If your parents say no to your dating him, the law is NOT going to allow you to go ahead anyway. You are required to follow your parents' rules for you until you are 18 EVEN IF the law will not toss him in jail.

Agree; until you are 18 (the age of majority), you are still a minor & must follow your parents' rules including who you may date.
