I have an Japanese female friend who is here in the country working until April 8th. However, she and a male co-worker who is an U.S. citizen is considering getting married in Las Vegas before the 8th.
My question is that when they do that, will she be able to stay here in the U.S. and not return to Japan?
I read that to get her status changed, an I130 needs to befile (among other forms).
