Can a creditor report an item that was discharged in Chap. 7 bankruptcy separately, as an individual "derogatory" item, on the consumer's credit report?
These items were disputed with all three CRAs as having been included in the BK, but rather than remove the items from the credit report, some of the items remain as individual accounts, with a notation/comment by the CRA that says "included [or, "discharged"] in bankruptcy."
Is this appropriate, or should the individual item disappear entirely inasmuch as the bill was discharged through the BK?
