My husband works for a Cable Company in New York City. He works a lot of overtime and is one of their top workers. This summer he took all his vacation to stay home with me while I was recovering from surgery and after he came back he took 2 separate times personal days to take me to the doctors and even provided them with doctor notes. He hasn't called out sick for months. So yesterday he wasn't feeling well and he called out. They gave him a hard time but said fine. Today he went in and they told him the days he wanted for overtime he wasn't getting and he can't get any overtime for the next 2 weeks because of his track record. He works for union and it says no where in the contract that his foreman can do any of this. They make their on rules just to treat the workers like crap. What can he do? These people have done things like this before.
