Is it legal to post this?

On a forum hosted by web-rpg personal information was posted, such as links to mine and another family members social media account, our emails, names, even the town and school district we go to. I, nor anyone else in the family gave them permission to post this information. It's against the terms of service of web-rpg and I have reported it multiple times. Yet it has yet to be taken down. It was posted June of last year. I'm not sure what to do. I really need this to be taken down for the sake of my reputation, and safety. What should I do?

This would not generally be considered private information; in other words if Joe Public can get ahold of the info legally, there's nothing to stop him from posting that information.

Okay, would this change with someone who were underage?

Write a letter, not an email, to the owners of the website and the site administrator.

In this letter you request they TAKE DOWN all of the information about ALL of the parties and identify the minors involved.

Send the letter via FedEx, UPS, or USPS (return receipt requested).

Be prepared for to be ignored.

If that happens, there's very little you can do, except to write more letters and keep records of all requests sent.

Some examples you might find useful, to be modified to suit your situation:

No, it wouldn't.

(And this is one reason I would discourage people from allowing their 12 year olds to have social networking accounts)

When we let our kids have facebook we gave them conditions for their protection and our assurance they or others would not misuse it. Here is brief list

. Their page must be set up that friends and only friends can view their page. This includes friends of friends its "friends" only that can view page
. They only friend actual friend snot casual acquaintances
. They do not join any groups etc without our permission
. They friend us as well
. We know their password. (Note we don't use or abuse this its merely a just in case measure and means to deter poor choices)

When the kids were younger we had computer they use din public room (living room)

It is not remotely close to being illegal. The best you can do is write "pretty please" letters to ask that it be removed.
