WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Waco police arrested an undocumented man who removed an AC unit from a window to break into a home and then lay in bed with a woman he did not know, an arrest warrant obtained by KWTX states.

Jesus Lopez Loredo, 30, is charged with burglary of a home with the intent to commit a sexual offense. His bond for the charge was set at $75,000 bond, but Lopez is being held on an immigration detainer, meaning Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has 48 hours to take him into custody if Lopez manages to come up with the $7,500 to bond out of jail.

Lopez was arrested the morning of Dec. 26 shortly after he broke into the home in the 1500 block of 13th Street, according to the arrest warrant.

The victim, according to the arrest warrant, was sleeping when Lopez attempted to open the front door to her residence. After realizing the door was locked, Lopez walked over to a window and removed a portable AC unit to break into a bedroom, the warrant states. The victim's daughter was sleeping in the room Lopez entered via the window, police said.

Lopez then walked into the homeowner's bedroom, laid in bed with her and began hugging her, police further wrote in the warrant.

When the victim woke up and asked him what he was doing inside her home, Lopez replied in Spanish, "It's okay. I'm just a friend here to talk to you," the warrant alleges.

The woman demanded Lopez leave her home, but the man refused to leave and continued to plead with her to let him stay. She eventually pushed him out the front door.

When police officers arrived at the home, the victim told them she did not know the man, but was able to provide a description and video surveillance footage that captured images of Lopez inside her home.

The officers spotted a man who looked like the intruder walking in the area and took him into custody.

The man, identified in arrest warrant as Lopez, waived his Miranda Rights and admitted to entering the woman's home without permission, police wrote in the arrest warrant.

Lopez told a Spanish-speaking police officer he went to the home to "party, but the front door was locked and he was forced to enter through the window," the warrant states.

Lopez further admitted to removing the window AC unit so that he could break in via the window, police wrote in the warrant.

The victim told police she had never seen or spoken with Lopez before and wished to file charges. Her daughter was not harmed during the burglary/home invasion.
