I tried to take goods from the high shelf in the shop but the goods fell on the head of my 1 year old son. He injured. Wonder can the store put the only goods on the top of the shelf and provide access to it?
There is absolutely no reason why you couldn't have found a sales associate and asked for assistance. Had you done so and the associate had dropped something on your son's head, they might have had some liability. They are not liable because you took it upon yourself to get something down without help and dropped it.
He's wondering whether the store is liable if the only goods they provide of a certain type are placed on the high shelf. Without more, this seems to be the usual hope of finding liability where common sense and the "do unto others" rule would be easily applied.
