Several years ago I lived in Indiana, got a couple of DUI's, and driving while suspended, I was young and an idiot. I then briefly moved to Kentucky, got a license there with no problems. I now live in NJ and when I went to get my license here I am told Indiana has a hold on it.
I called the Indiana DMV and was told Indiana classified me as a "Habitual Traffic Violator" and my license was suspended until 2013. The suspension also took effect after I had moved, so I was unaware of it.
I assume I am going to have to get lawyers involved, should I start in NJ or Indiana? Do I have any hope of gettting a license before the suspension ends? Any other pertinent advice?
Thanks.
