Help! We are hiring an indepedent contractor and I am preparing the contract agreement based on a general form given to us by our home office in New York. I have to amend some areas in the form based on the California State Law. On the At Will part of the contract, does california require notice prior to termination? What is the Lenght of Restrictive Period based on California law on restrictive covenants? Do we have to state in the contract a specific Contract period?
