My two brothers and I have inherited a house. They both live in the property but I live elsewhere. As I claim income support, will the house be considered capital and therefore disallow my benefit claim? we are going to register as a benefciial joint tenancy and the asset can't be realised but is it still capital?

This is a US based forum.
However, I'd suggest this in regard to a similar US query.

You should discuss this with a local solicitor.

    Everyone's financial situation is different.

You require advice tailored to your situation.

    See a solicitor.

It'll cost a few quid, but it may save you much more than you spend on the solicitor.
