ok here's the situation. Ex husband has mental problems and I have PROOF of this by means of his medical discharge papers from the military. Daughter only 5yrs comes home all upset and worried that mommy is going to heaven, cause "Daddy said". Previous order of protection for daughter fell through because of bad choice of lawyer who only wanted money. I have her in to the school psychologist and on waiting list for another. There is a lot more to the story on why she needs the psychologist because of father and his girlfriend playing with her mind. I have seen tons of stuff for helping fathers get custody and their rights but what about mothers who want to protect their children? I NEED help in this matter. I would like my daughter to only have to worry about what clothes she wants to wear or toys to play with. Instead she cries, and is scared to death of loosing me or being taken away by her father. What should I do? I have limited funds and need to learn as much as possible BEFORE I see another lawyer. How do I stop him from hurting our daughter mentally. I know this is abuse but how do you prove mental abuse without it being thrown out as "hearsay" or whatever? Thank you in advance for whoever responds to this. I am desperate to help my little girl!

I would really appriciate a reply. Even if someone doesn't quite know what to do. I know I'm in for a battle but this is not about me this is about a 5yr old little girl, please I fear for her. I know, "the ex was good enough to have children with" but his problems didn't really surface till she was 2! Please help.

Is there a visitation order in place?

Yes he gets every other weekend and every other holiday and two non consecutive weeks in the summer. So far he's only had the every other weekend. If he does this much damage over a weekend can you imagine what's going to happen to her over a weeks time.
