I am renting a mobile home. my landlord still owes $27,000 on the note. He received notice on Nov. 26th that the trailer would be repossessed, now, we never signed any lease, everything was done verbally, and very informal. Although he received this notice from the courts in November, he did not inform me of the eviction until January 8th, telling me that they should be here any day now to pull this mobile home out of here, what i need to know is does he have the right to do this to me, and what if they come to pull the home away and my belongings are still inside, doesnt he have to give me more notice? I have 2 children and cant afford to be left in the cold in the colorado winter. none of the papers that he gave me are in my name, the eviction papers are addressed to him from the mortgage company, and stamped by the local county court, they do have the wrong address listed on them , but the landlord said that it wont take any time for them to correct this. Please help.
