If you escape from a County jail for 3 months in Florida what should your sentence be.

Jurisdiction
Florida
You have never been to prison. You scored out to 44.4 points the escape happened in 2010 you get sentenced in 2012 to Twenty Two years. You get resentenced in 2016 to 22 years because the first sentence was declared illegal by the higher court. It's now 2019 it's clear as day what happened in the past now that some time has passed. The county manager got fired, 16 officers got fired, the county attorney got fired, the commission auditor got fired, and the jail chief resigned. Because corruptive business practices came to light after an inmate escaped. IS IT ETHICAL or fair the treatment a citizen must endure because of angered mismanaged vindictive embarrassed actions displayed by a county that was not properly following policies. After Some wrongdoing came to light of what they did and was doing. The County Jail was outdated and received a much needed overhaul. The county manager could not handle things which then created a ripple effect in the rest of the city. Then the courthouse administration's problems started to surface. Then they put you on the front page of the sentinal and say you embarrassed the county. Then news reporters go on live t.v and say " You Will Be Punished "I ask you what should be your sentence ??? Or Do you think the person was used as a Scapegoat?

Your post was incredibly unconcise and bordering on inconherent. I would suggest that you (or whomever) speak to an attorney.

Generally anyone that absconds or escapes the justice system when captured catches new charges and still does the time previously received to serve.

Apparently in Florida an escape can earn you up to 15 years in prison PLUS the sentence for the original crime. Nothing you said here suggests the sentence received is improper or unreasonable.
The sentence is intended to be harsh in order to discourage escapes.

This reminds me of a man who once stole some bread to feed his sisters starving children. He served a total of 19 years in prison before being paroled. Five years for what he did, the rest because he tried to run.
