Hi my name is Ben.I am a vocalist in a band,and recently I was asked by our booking agent to sign a Band Agreement Contract.Then not long after that, we signed a recording contract with an independent record label. While at our last show,i was blamed for several things that could not be helped.Then one of the members threatened me with physical violence after cursing me in a public place. After all was said and done.I went home,and actually wrote an email apology to all the members explaining how sorry I was that so much got out of hand.Even though none of it was my fault.I then received 3 emails from the member that threatened me,which further slandered my name,and abilities.My question is.Did he breach the contract?Because I just want out,but I know if I go around him,he will try to fight me.I'm not afraid of him,but I cannot afford to go to jail,or pay any hospital bills.Also I have written songs with this band,and recorded 8 of them with the Indie record company.Can I keep them from using my lyrics if they want to go and get another vocalist? because either way I am done with this band.I just want out.
