I want full custody and child support

Can i have complete and full custody of my child with no visitation rights and still recieve child support? We were never living together and never married.

Why do you believe you should have full custody, no visitation rights and yet receive child support?

I'm pregnant with this child, the father has not helped in any of the medical bills that i've had. He has been stalking me for about a month now and his family harrassess me on a daily basis through emails and phone calls. He calls constantly, texts and emails me. I have told him and his family to quit but they will not listen. I'm scared that if he does have some custody that he will end up leaving with the baby.

Dad has no rights to this unborn child at this point in time.

Once the baby is born, he would need to go through the court system to be deemed the father of this child (i.e., typically DNA testing) since the two of you were not married.

He can then petition for visitation rights, custody; whatever he wishes. It will be up to the court to decide what "rights" he has.

You can petition for child support but unless you have some real data that dad will take off with the baby it is highly, highly unusual that a court will grant child support without giving the father of this child at least some rights to see his offspring.

Unfortunately this is something you should have thought about before making a baby with a stranger.

Thanks for the legal advice but that last part was unneccessary since you have no idea how long we were together or what our situation was when the baby was concieved. I'm sure you answered my legal question from knowledge that you have, but the last part was said out pure ignorance.

Sorry but you cannot have your cake and eat it too. Right now Dad has no rights whatsoever. So if you want to file for child support that is your right. Paternity will have to be established and he can then file for visitation. You chose this man to father your child so be prepared to deal with him for the next 18 years. If him and his family are harassing you, stop talking to them and block emails and texts. You cannot expect no visits because he is the father and he will have rights once he takes you to court for them. Visits can be supervised at first but it probably will not be that way forever.
