i was driving in the freeway and suddenly the hood of my car just popped up and cause me to lose all vision. I didnt freak out or anything like that instead i slowed down. As i was slowing down a car hit me in the rear of my car. Is it my fault or the other persons fault?
I live in California. I was driving in the freeway and suddenly the hood of my car just popped up and cause me to lose all vision. I didnt freak out or anything like that instead i slowed down. As i was slowing down a car hit me in the rear of my car. Is it my fault or the other persons fault? Can the other person argue anything against me and win?
The idea is that every driver has to keep enough distance to the car in front to be able to stop even if the car in front makes an unexpected stop, therefore at least most of the fault should lie with the driver who rear-ended
