Back in december i got full physical and legal custody and now im moving out of state. The mother has failed to see the child nor call or give any wear about's were she lives. I want her to sign over her rights, what should i pay out the window for all this. Im being charged a 1,000 right now from my lawyer, is that a good price. It's worth it but the money for most people is the issue.

Its not that simple. A judge is not likely to grant a TPR if there is not a step parent willing to adopt. The exception might be abandonment. How long has Mom not had "any" contact with child? Any contact includes calls, letters, emails, text etc.

How is it in the childs best interest to do this? Unless you are remarried, probably will not happen. Did the courts give you permission to move out of state?
