    Is there a chance that the charges will be dismissed? And also, what determines the how much the fine is going to be?

    There is always a chance it will be dismissed. I don't see your being so close to 18 as being anything that will help you.

    In some counties, maybe - Harris, Bexar, Tarrant, Dallas, Travis; usually.

    El Paso County is a very unusual place.

    They really love money, and money can set a monkey free.

    If you've been a good little minor, you might get a pass when you become a major.

    In the abstract, virtually anything is possible. However, if you committed a crime, why would the prosecutor dismiss the charges?

    The applicable law. I suggest you discuss this with your parents and a criminal defense attorney.
