I have a friend who was charged for sexual abuse. Unable to afford a lawyer so they got a court appointed. They have met with the lawyer once and can not get any contact from this lawyer now for over 2 months. Even went and scheduled a meeting with the lawyer and the lawyer had the secretary cancel the appointment. My friend is innocent and can't get any help from the lawyer. Is this normal for a lawyer to blow their client off lie this?? I understand they are busy people but nothing? ? Any advise?

A lawyer doesn't need to see any client every day, or even weekly.
Most lawyers contact the client when a meeting is required.
I suggest you tell your friend to relax, stay out of additional trouble, and meet with the lawyer all in due time.
The worst thing your friend can do is become an impatient pest.
