Firing court appointed attorney

In open court, you can ask the judge to be heard, and ask for a new attorney. The judge will likely ask you to explain why you want to fire your current attorney, so be prepared to explain the reasons.

Most people discuss it with the lawyer beforehand and the lawyer will file a motion to be removed from the case.

The court will then,if approved, appoint new counsel.
