I am an American and am planning on marrying a Canadian who will be crossing the border to visit me in several weeks. She will be crossing as a Canadian "tourist" and I am aware she would therefore not receive an I-94 form when entering the States. I have read through all the posts and did not find an answer to this question: How can my girlfriend be assured she receives an I-94 form at the border when she enters the United States? We want her to remain as inconspicuous as possible and not raise any red flags. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it possible to just receive a stamped passport without an I-94 and have that as proof of legally crossing? We would be very thankful for any help that can be offered. If this question has already been answered please direct us to the answer.
Thanks again and God Bless your travels,
Matt

That is the point: a normal tourist does not need to get an I-94, and someone who intends to stay for good is not a normal tourist.

The easier way is to do it right and apply for a K-1 Visa.
