How can I prove she is mine?

My wife and I had too much fun one night and invited a friend into our room. The girl ended up pregnant, she just had her girl, and my wife and I our sure it is mine. I told the girl I wanted to have a test and she cut all contact from me. I believe she might have even taken her daughter and moved. The girl had another guy whom she made believe was the father of the child. I don't know if the child was given his last name or not.

The physical similarities between the child and I are striking. Either way due to the circumstances that put me in the position of possibly being the child's father, I want to know if she is my daughter and if so, I want to have joint or full custody. Due I have the right to force a DNA test? Any advice would help!

It depends. Did this girl give birth in your state? If so then you need to google establishing paternity in your state. Some states have a presumative father registry tgat you have to sign up on. If there is no legal father for this girl, then you migtht have a shot. Even if she did dupe someone else into signing the birth paperwork, you can still dispute paternity most likely.

I would start with seeing what info you can find online. See an attorney if you would like.

You do realize that this is probably going to cause some problems with your wife? If this child is deermined to be yours via DNA testing, you likely will have to pay support. Either way, if there is no legal father right now for this childm this woman can at any time file a child support claim against you so its probably a good idea to find out now if you are the father.
