Hospital bill responsibility

In Florida, when a person dies, is the widow or other family member responsible to pay for a hospital bill for the deceased?Thank you

The only person who generally sometimes is would be the spouse (unless someone signed to be responsible). However; since Fl. is not a community property state, spouse should not be responsible. There is also a doctrine of necessaries which can make a spouse responsible for deceased spouse's medical bills but Fl. abolished this. In my opinion it seems everyone is ok here - not responsible. You can always run it by a lawyer in your area for verification.
