Holiday Pay

No.

With one exception, NO private employers are required to pay time and a half to employees who work on a Federal holiday. That exception is retail employers in the state of Massachusetts whose employees work on one of six specific holidays (of which Labor Day is one).

The large majority of employees in the US do NOT have to be paid premium pay when they work on a holiday unless they have a contract that specifically says otherwise.

i live in mass and was wondering if i am eligible to be paid for holidays. For example - jully 4th, they are saying no work but they are not paying me for the day off. I work 46 hours a week there and have been employed for 2 1/2 months. is there a time limit where u have to be employed for a company to get paid for holiday pay??

This is not the same question as the other one. There are NO circumstances whatsoever, in MA or any other state, where you have to be provided with paid holidays.
