I have stopped paying the mortgage on my 2 bed and 2 bath condo in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am still continuing to pay the HOA fees and Real estate taxes. I have requested Deed in Lieu but Fannie Mae has rejected it. I am now considering Short Sale and if that does not work then complete foreclosure.
My question is .....during foreclosure at what point do the real estate taxes and HOA fees stop being my legal responsibility?
