Hit and run accident by dui driver

I was in a car accident and the other driver was probably drunk. We pulled over after a minor collision and I was pretty sure this guy had too many to drink. I got out of my car and he couldn't or just decided to go back in and drive away. What should I do? I will go to the police but could I be sued for libel if I tell them what I think?

You should have reported it immediately. No, you won't get in trouble.
Hopefully you at least got a license plate.

I remember a long time ago I bought a Polaroid camera to put into my car just for special occasions such as getting into an accident (call me paranoid but that's what happens when you go to law school.) These days phone cameras come in handy in case you're worried about someone driving off and hopefully you could catch some part of their car on camera so that it could be identified. Good luck.
