I am a registered nurse, working in the local hospital in the Pre surgical testing area. I accessed my own record on several occasions, mostly related to upcoming procedures or surgery that I was having. i was given permission to do the pre surgical computer work on myself by the director of surgical services. I also went into my husbands record, to view lab results with his consent I was fired for HIPPA violations and denied unemployment compensation. do I have any recourse?
