I recently signed a lease (a week ago) and now I might be looking to find another apartment that is a better deal. My move in date is in mid August. I tried talking to the apartment to let me terminate my lease but they won't let me do so. Are landlords allowed to keep you bound by a lease even if you're not scheduled to move in for over 60 days?
