had alarm installed last week at circuit city,car caught fire today and is totaled.the corparate office told me its my problem since they are in bankruptcy.what are my options

Who is "the corporate office" - circuit city's? take a look at your agreement first and see what your rights are. Just because a company is in bankruptcy doesn't mean you don't have rights of repair. Frequently there is a service contract with a third party who may still under obligation to perform.
