Went renewed my DL, regustered vehicle, got ins, etc. then went on 8-25 paid court fees due from prison thing. Exact day paid court fees, letter went out from DPS saying 3 tickets (failure appear) from 2006 & could suspend my DL i just got after 3 months of resolving issues! I wrote judge ask help as i have no more $ &!cant find job cause cant drive. Recieved letter from court for Trial by jury?! What should i do? Out of $ and if need lawyer how much should expect to pay?

I suggest you approach the city attorney, county attorney, or prosecutor and see if he or she will make a deal.

You decide what you can offer to make it all go away. A brief explanation about your TDCJ stint, your efforts to rehabilitate yourself, and your need to have a license to commute back and forth to work are good starters, but be brief.

Most lawyers in the Hill Country charge about $1,500 to $3,500 to work your kind of case.
