A US company engaged in luxury properties (with head office based in Miami) has outsourced some services in the Philippines. Unfortunately, and for reasons I do not know, it has decided to close down the Philippine office just a few months since it started. Until now, it hasn't sent its employees salaries. We have been given promising letters of a closure budget but an exact date wasn't given. Further, we are unable to move on with our lives as most of us have become too affected by the sudden loss of employment and the absence of due pay.
Can someone help us settle the matter? We seem powerless considering the fact that we are miles away from our former employer.
