Help for my little neice and nephew.

My sister is getting evicted from her house. I tried to help her and her husband when he walked out on his job, but I have not been able to maintain two households.
My sister has a daughter 9 and a son 7. She says she is going to live with these children in the car. She has been complaining for two years that she wanted to move away but instead of doing that when she could afford it now she has no money. My family has offered to let her, her husband, and the children stay with them, but she says no. We all offered to keep the children for her if she wanted to live in the car but to please not take the children. She said they are her children and no one is going to tell her what to do. These babies are precious and innocent and do not deserve what she is going to be putting them through. She is being very selfish instead of thinking of the children. Is there anything that can be done to scare her so she will not pull these kids out of school and make them live in the car? I appreciate any advice....I am running out of time.

Child protective services might be interested, and may be the only thing you can do. If you contact CPS, be sure to let them know you are willing to take care of the children.

CPS might care but sadly only if she is homeless and not able to care for the kids.

I think living in a car and pulling the kids out of school would qualify as homeless and not caring for the kids.
