Have you wondered what those graffiti acronyms mean?

So have many others.

I defer to propriety and won't post the answers here.

Here are some of the acronyms that are causing some people to ask, what are the meanings of "ACAB" or "F**K12", for example?

I'll allow you to read it for yourself on the original news article:

'ACAB,' 'F*ck 12': How to Translate Rioters' Graffiti and Shouting

All I could do after reading the article is what I often am driven to do: "SMDH".

Disappointing. Here is an interesting article on New York City graffiti back in the day. At least there was some talent too.

Dicing with death: the original New York graffiti artists – in pictures

That art from the 80s (some even from the 70s) lives on today.

I often see it on AMTRAK and freight train cars.

I had a great uncle, who later became a psychiatrist, that rode the rails as a hobo during the Great Depression. Uncle Tom would often take me down to the roundhouse and the depot during my youth. He had become friends with the police officers and rail yard personnel. He could describe each locomotive, freight car, and knew the passenger trains. He also knew the "scratchings" the "boes" would make indicating to other "boes" which cars were safe, and which ones were best avoided.
