I recieved a notice from a family member of intent to file a restraining order related to my "harrassment" of them. Included in this document were many false statements, twisting of truths etc. I have no intention or desire to EVER see this person, and I am totally sickened by the whole thing. It actually seems to me to be a way to harass me! I'd like to ignore the whole thing. I have a large family and I work. To fly out of state to protest this nonsense would be difficult for me. Can I just ignore it? Do I care if they get the restraining order? Could actually legally cause me to be in "contempt of court" somehow if I don't show up?
I'm in CA and the WA court date is for Oct. 30th (5 business days from this day in which I recieved the papers)
