if someone made me sign up for a website that was actually used to reveal my password and i did, and they used it to post on a forum on my name and said mean things that misrepresented me, can i sue that person?

there isn't much proof though. i think the site that this person used was deleted and i don't remember the address. but i'm sure a lot of people on the forum remember it happening.

also, would a professional music recording company like jive sue someone for hacking into a moderators account? because i know this person did this too.

what kind of proof would they need? (or i need for that matter)
