Here is the situation.

My wife is a figure competitor and recently won a major event.

She works out at a local gym (a chain) but is not trained by the personal trainers from this gym. She has a trainer...at a seperate location ....he has his own private gym.

This local gym where she goes for cardio/lifting not personal training has never offered support or sponsorship for ANY of the 5 shows she competed in during the 2007/2008 season.

In August she won 1st in age/height and the overall winner title Az. Guess what? The gym wrote an article to include a picture of her w/overall trophy stating that my wife "represents" their gym. Remember, never any support or sponsorship. Conveniently, the opposite page is an advertisement for their personal training services.

Sponsorship is provided by her personal trainer.

It this okay? Is this allowed without consent? Seems a bit like false advertisement. Is it?

The gym has posted this article w/picture at the program directors desk, where all new clients interested in hiring a personal trainer make their first stop to sign up.

Is there anything that can be done to remedy this?

Thanks for your time.

Frank
