About a week ago, my wife pled guilty to a driving under suspended licence in the state of Florida (Marion County). Her license was suspended pending medical tests a required by the state of Florida. She had previously been in an accident and had been dazed at that time. The judge ordered that she serve 30 days, suspended for 30 days providing she pays the fine and fees (paid) and produce a valid FL license withing those 30 days. Given her medical suspension, that would be impossible at this time. It requires a doctor exam and then appox. 45-60 days to process in Tallahassee. Is there any way the sentence can be delayed or avoided so that she does not have to serve jail time, as she cannot possibly get a licence in that time frame?

Come back to court at your appointed time and show the judge that you have done all that you can possibly do. The Judge will not jail your wife for not completing something that is not in her power to do.
