I have a 3 year old minor. He has been in my care since birth (3days old) the bio dad is not on the birth cert and was deported back to Mexico before the baby was born. I am not related to minor. Bio mother has a drug and alcohol problem and has failed every random test offered. In 3 years she has spent maybe a total of 4 hours with the minor and does not support him. I have had perm guardianship for 2 years now and would like to term parental rights and adopt the baby. How hard do you think this will be for me and should I roll it into the guardianship or file abandonment and terminate that way?
