Hi everyone,
I would like to set up a legal structure where a group of friends can own or rent a home together as a collective, while growing the collective's credit. What type of legal structure would be best for this?
Thank you,
Aaron

You should speak to a local attorney (or several) regarding your proposed venture before you do anything.

The first thing that strikes me is that your collective or combine can't improve it's credit unless it becomes a business, as in corporate entity.

The next issue, which might be the most important, involves the effort being a "cult of human personalities".

Such an endeavor often is doomed from the start as a form of toxic stew, driven by each individual's "id".

Adult roommates fare worse than marriages, which tend to fail at a steady 50% rate year after year.

I wish you well, but socialism tends to fail in a capitalist economy.

PS:
The one bright note, regarding collaborative adult living enterprises involves religious orders. If the adults are of similar religious (or irreligious) minds, those living schemes tend to survive.

Think monks, sisterhoods, brotherhoods, priests, priestesses, other various like minded endeavors of political or philosophical agreement.
