My jurisdiction is: Indiana/Arizona

I have two children that live with my ex's parents. I was strugling with and addiction after their father went to prison and let his parents keep them until I could clean up my act and give them the life they deserve. I moved to Indiana in January and have been sober since. I intened on getting them back after they finished school and now I found out they went to court for costody of my two children. One of which isn't even blood. They are trying to say I abandon my kids when they new all along what I was doing. I am freaking out and don't know what to do. Any help or suggestions????

Yes, move back to Arizona if you want any chance of getting your kids back. You moving out of state and the fact you have been without custody for quite some time is problematic. AZ has jurisdiction. It is really unlikely you'll be able to prove giving custody to you, in such a far away state is in the best interest of the kids but you'll have to see an attorney. At the very minimum you should file for visitation.

my wife is kinda in the same boat so if you get any answer then would you let me know her ex parent kinda say ran an ad in the paper in IL. when they knew she livied out here in Ut. kinda sneaky
