Fraud, Embezzlement, Bad Checks Grand Larceny Felony Charge

I have been charged with grand larceny a class d felony by unemployment and the charges state that I owed $5, 510.50 although I recieved paper work in the mail as of april of this year stating that I only owe $2, 407.50 could this case be dismised because of that. This is my first arrest ever no record not even a traffic ticket

You aren't giving much information, but from what you say, no, you likely don't have an easy dismissal with this.

Do you have a lawyer? Did you ask why the amount increased? We don't have much info as mightymoose noted but very doubtful case will be dismissed.

I suggest you hire a lawyer experienced with state UI law to figure out how much you did steal, in order to minimize the impact of charges against you.
