my wife had a child with another man while we were married. he has never had anything to do with the child and now wants to see her . i have raised the child as my own and do not want the child to know any different. is there anything i can do to adopt or to just keep him away?

If your wife gave birth while married, you are the presumed legal dad in most states.

Depending on how old the child is, it is possible this man can file to establish paternity, but every states laws are different. You might want to google disputing paternity in your state to see what you find.
