I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED AT A PARTICULAR COMPANY FOR 17 MONTHS. A NEW GUY WAS WELCOMED ABOARD AND THAT WAS THE END. THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE. THERE IS A CHAIN OF COMMAND IN EVERY WORK PLACE LARGE OR SMALL. I DID THAT. IT DID NOT WORK. HR WAS WORKING AGAINST ME. STRESS LEVEL EXTREMELY HIGH:confused: DECIDED TO GO OUT FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE AND RAN INTO TROUBLE. I PASSED DIRTY URINE WHICH I NOTIFIED MY IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR THAT IT WOULD BE. I WAS TESTED LESS THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR. CLEAN AS A WHISTLE AS IT SHOULD BE. I AM NOT TRYING TO ARGUE THE POINT OF MY WRONG DOING, I AM TRYING TO SEE WHY I WAS THE ONLY ONE OUT OF ALL THE POSITIVE TESTING PEOPLE TO GET A 30 DAY SUSPENSION, JOB DEMOTION, AND A $3.00 PAY CUT. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I WAS TREATED HARSH. IS THIS DISCRIMINATION. I BECAME NEARLY HOMELESS AND DEPRESSED. CURRENTLY ATTENDING GROUP THERAPY FOR DEPRESSION NOT BEING TREATED FOR DIRTY URINE. I WAS SLANDERED, CALLED AN ADDICT. THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING I COULD DO. HELP :(
 
Nothing in your post indicates your employer has acted unlawfully. You tested positive for drugs which violated company policy. They could have terminated you on the spot had they chosen to do so.

Since the results of workplace drug tests is confidential medical information, I can't see how you would know who tested positive and who didn't. (Your co-workers cannot be relied upon to be telling you the truth on their test results if that's your source of information.) If your employer mandated that you seek some sort of counseling or treatment in order for you to remain employed, they may do so.

No facts in your post support a conclusion that this is prohibited discrimination.
 
LET ME START BY SAYING THANKS FOR THE REPLY. THE INFORMATION THAT I HAVE REGARDING OTHERS TESTING POSITIVE IS NOT COMING FROM THE EMPLOYEES, ITS BECAUSE I AM THERE WHEN OTHERS ARE TESTED. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHERE I HAVE GIVEN THE TESTS MYSELF. IT WAS NOT A REQUIREMENT OF THE COMPANY THAT I GET COUNSELING, THAT WAS COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY ON MY BEHALF. I AM TRYING TO CORRECT THE SITUATION AS I SEE FIT TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF. HOWEVER I DID FIND OUT FROM THE COMPANY HEADQUARTERS THAT I AM ENTITLED TO ALL ACCRUED HOURS. THATS JUSTICE ENOUGH FOR ME.:D
