I am going to marry a women soon who filed for bankruptcy a number of years ago. One company who was not part of that for whatever reason is trying to collect. Will her debt become my debt after we are married? Thanks
Has she started working with the collectors regarding payment of that debt? Also, consider a prenup and check your state laws regarding communal property due to marriage.
