full custody

Im a 17yrs. old turn 18 on April 5, 05. I want to get full custody of my 1 year old son. His dad is already 18 and is not responsible he does not work or take care of him he leaves everything up to me. He comes to see his son when he wants to and i have to call like 20 times in order for him to bring diapers for him or to take care of him. My dad is the one who has supported my son since he was born. What do i need to do to get full custody? Can I get full custody? I live in California.
