Fraudulent use of name

Recently viewing my local county property appraiser's list I found my name listed as an owner of a property with a ficticious mailing address. I don't own any real estate. What can I do ? Many thanks.

Contact whatever agency holds the information on the title, pull your credit report to see if it reflects this inquiry or purchase (loan) and find out what you can (and make sure it is YOU and not someone with the same name). Then get the police involved if this is indeed an ID theft or fraud situation.

CDW is correct. Contact the property tax commissioner and see if it is someone posing as you or just someone with your name. Then take appropriate action.
