Eviction Process former tenant rights

i am the homeowner. A former tenant/roommate hasn't paid rent since the 3 month lease ran out. He did not renew his lease, and he will not pay rent and will not leave. It's been 6 months after the lease.How can i get him out as soon as possible? The house is in the process of forclosure/shortsale. I have asked the utilities to be shut off in a couple days.the utilities are in MY name. Can he legally have the utilites turned back on in his name?

The utility company decides if they'll supply him with power.
If you shut the utilities off, you could be charged with an illegal eviction.
You've tolerated this dead beat's shenanigans far too long.
If you want him gone, do it legally.
He has be evicted in the courts.

Expect the eviction to take between 8-12 weeks, give or take.
